Following an early career in education where I worked as a secondary school teacher, I began training in Person-Centred Counselling in 2007. I achieved a Diploma in Counselling in February 2011. In 2014 I achieved BACP accreditation and also completed a Diploma in Counselling Supervision.
In addition, I completed a specialist Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People in December 2015.
From 2012 - 2019 I provided counselling at a high school in Cheshire for children aged 11 - 18, where I set up and established a professional and busy service for students, working with a plethora of presenting issues, including suicidal risk and self-harm.
I worked part time as a counsellor at the University of Liverpool from 2012-2020. I have a private practice providing supervision, and counselling for private clients, specialising in work with adolescents.
In 2018 I created a series of workshops aimed at counsellors who wish to work ethically with children, which I continue to present, and I currently working with the BACP to offer a variety of workshops and presentations around ‘Working with Suicidal Risk’.
I worked as a trainer for the Charlie Waller Trust liaising with colleges creating and providing training via zoom.
I am now concentrating on private practice counselling, supervision and training.
